Sommet de Vounetz

This snowshoe hike starts from the Charmey mid-station of the Charmey lifts.

A first alpine chalet with its tavillon roof is on the trail. The route continues steadily uphill, skirting the forest. You'll gradually discover views of the Jogne valley, Dent de Broc and Vanil Noir. You then reach the Tissineva chalet, and follow the ridge to the summit. On this last part of the trail, you'll enjoy one of the finest views of La Gruyère and its main peaks: La Berra, Le Vanil Noir and the Moléson.

At the summit of Vounetz, the Les Dents-Vertes restaurant welcomes you all winter long for a gourmet break or simply to warm up. Admire the breathtaking view of the Jogne valley and the Moléson from its panoramic terrace.

The descent is mainly through forest. Passing the Drotsu d'en Haut farm in the heart of a beautiful clearing, the path leads in a few bends under the gondola. Shortly afterwards, you'll come back to the path you took on the way up, which this time you'll follow downhill.

Alternatives: take the gondola down or start at the summit.
