Vounetz - La Scie

Follow the signposted path from the gondola exit to the summit of Vounetz. On the way down, admire the Dents Vertes chain on your right and the majestic Gros Brun summit opposite.

• This trail is mainly downhill from the top station of the Charmey gondola. On leaving the gondola, head right along the ski slope towards the Dents Vertes range.
• At the pass (alt. 1565m), follow the signs along the Rio de Tissineva. On the descent to the eastern side of Vounetz, you'll recognize the main peaks of the Dents Vertes range: Dent de Vounetz (1812 m.) and Tour Ronde (1806 m.).
• The route passes below the “Tissiniva Derrey” chalet; it continues into a valley, guarded by its severe and lofty sentinels - Vanil d'Arpille (2084 m.), Gros Brun (2104 m.) and the Pointe de Balachaux (1976 m.) and Patraflon (1915 m.). After passing through an enchanting forest, the route branches off to the NW, below the Chalet de la Gissetta (1318 m.), to reach “La Scie” on the hillside, the start of the chairlift that will take you back to Vounetz.

The route is easy and perfectly suited to families.
