La Valsainte - Vounetz

From La Valsainte, the route leads through alpine pastures and forests to reach La Chaux-du-Vent, Tissineva and then the summit of Vounetz.

• From the monastery of La Valsainte, take the path down towards Le Javro, cross the bridge and continue towards Les Reposoirs. Follow the hairpin bend upwards through the Reposoirs forest. When you reach the clearing, follow the signs and not the road, as the latter may be subject to occasional snow slides.
• Once you've reached the ridge, turn left and follow the narrow path to the Auberge de Tissineva. Follow the path to the summit of Vounetz and admire one of the most beautiful panoramas of the Gruyère region, with its main peaks: La Berra, Le Vanil Noir and the Moléson.

The Dents-Vertes restaurant at the summit of Vounetz welcomes you for a well-deserved gourmet break, according to its winter opening hours.

There are several options for getting back to the village: follow the same route, take the gondola or take a different trail back to the village.
