Why head back down? The gondola runs until 10:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, as well as on select Thursdays in July and August. Head up in time for happy hour, and come back down when the stars are already out. It’s magical.

What more could you ask for?

Just imagine. A drink in hand for aperitif time, a refreshing evening breeze, and the sunset painting the valley in a thousand colors. In Charmey, that’s what you experience when you head up in the late afternoon. That’s why no one wants to come back down.

The toboggans are waiting for you, even at night

The Toboggan Trail stays open in the evening, with the last run at 8 p.m. Whizzing down the seven slides as the sky changes colors is an experience you’ll want to try as soon as possible!

People come for the view; they stay for the food

At Restaurant Le Vounetz, the atmosphere changes as the sun goes down.

  • Friday is gourmet night, featuring local Fribourg specialties. Take a seat at the table and enjoy. That’s what an evening at the summit is all about.
  • On Saturdays, it’s tartare night. Fresh fish or meat tartare, served with some toasted bread. And if tartare isn’t your thing, there are other options. Perfect for sharing with good company while enjoying the view of the valley.
